Reiki I Class Description
Prerequisite: None. There is no background nor skills required to take this course.
Description: This one day course is the beginning level of Reiki training. The training consists of discussion, the Reiki Level I attunement, hands-on practice, and includes the course handbook “Reiki the Healing Touch” by William Lee Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training, and other course materials.
Objectives: You will learn the history of Reiki, have a general understanding of chakras and aura, practice Reiki for self-treatment and treatment on others. You will be able to scan the body for energy.
Upon Completion: Once we complete Reiki I training, you will receive a certificate of completion sent you through snail mail. Once you are attuned to Reiki energy, you’ll be able to begin practicing and healing immediately. You will be able to give yourself Reiki, your family, and friends or even expand to the community as a volunteer. Additionally, you may find that after the attunement, other spiritual gifts begin to manifest.

Q: Can anyone learn Reiki?
A: If you feel called to learn Reiki, then you can learn to practice. Reiki is a beautiful energy that anyone can channel once attuned. Through classroom discussion and practice, you’ll learn various techniques and hand positions. However, as you begin to practice and listen to your own healing intuition, you’ll develop their own style and approach to practicing Reiki.
Q: When would I use Reiki?
A: All day, every day! First of all, treat yourself for your own self-care and wellness. After completing Reiki I, it’s important to practice self-Reiki on a regular basis.
Also, you can begin treating your family who is experiencing emotional and physical issues that Reiki can support healing. Reiki can be done anywhere and for any amount of time.
For Reiki I, you will most likely not charge your clients. Reiki I completion is really more of a foundational piece.
Q: How many levels of training are there for Reiki?
A: There are 4 levels of Reiki certification.
Reiki Level I Practitioners can give themselves Reiki treatments and treat others.
Reiki Level II Practitioners have extra tools they can use to increase the energy that flows from their hands, send energy that helps with emotional/mental healing, and the ability to send Reiki distantly (for example, across the room or across the world).
Reiki Level III Practitioners are Reiki Masters. You’ll work with crystal grids and other new energy techniques.
Reiki Level IV is Reiki Master/Teacher receive the higher Master energies Practitioners have the ability to pass Reiki onto students (teach).
So how far do you go with Reiki? You may take Reiki I and never go any further. Months or years down the road you may feel guided to take Reiki II – IV. You take Reiki as far as you are interested in and you do not have to have a path in mind — let Reiki guide you!
